Ashburn, VA, September 15, 2015 –(PR.com)– Ziegler Communications, LLC, a woman owned small business (WOSB), founded by Telecommunications Consultant, Marie Ziegler, has been awarded and certified as a participant in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) Business Development Program.
Ziegler Communications initially started as a resource consulting service providing requirements analysis and program management support to civilian agencies and local state government on their IT telecommunications services. With its rich background knowledge in telecommunications and its delivery of quality customer service, Ziegler grew its business and obtained more government projects. Its key personnel and subject matter experts provided professional advisory support for the network services program of the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). Work included various network services program tasks to support and manage process for FAS in contract modifications, assisting in scope reviews of GSA customer’s draft statement of work for communications infrastructure and network services, research and requirements analysis, and other information gathering that has to be managed electronically. Ziegler also provided subject matter expertise and best practices in managing various IT telecommunications services solicitation including the successful development and implementation of an automated solicitation and SOW-Assist tool used by many agencies for technology and telecommunications acquisition efforts under the GSA Networx and other contract vehicles.
As the CEO and founder, Marie Ziegler, brings over eighteen years of expertise and success to the start-up WOSB small business she founded in Feb 2010 delivering a full range of application development support, through all phases of the software development lifecycle. Her team also provided enterprise architecture services directly supporting the GSA Network Services Program (NSP) Enterprise Architect (EA) project team to develop best practices in acquisition services. The services include the creation and maintenance of GSA architecture frameworks for assisted acquisition services, requirement analysis and solution design, and strategic planning.
On August 2015, Ziegler took a major initiative and submitted all the requirements and applied into the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) Business Development Program. One month later, Ziegler received the SBA award letter and congratulations stating that the firm has been certified as a Participant in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) Business Development Program.
The 8(a) program, which is a nine (9) year program term, begins on the date of the award letter on September 11, 2015. During participation in the 8(a) BD Program, Ziegler will receive business development assistance from an assigned Business Development Specialist in the Washington Metropolitan Area District Office located at 409 3rd Street, SW, Suite 2000, Washington, DC 20416.
